The project "Balancing energy demand by introducing a high-level management system for building management, energy storage and energy exchange based on energy market dynamics and short-term parameter manipulation in climate maintenance systems" has been completed.
The research was carried out in effective cooperation with researchers of the Institute of Heat, Gas and Water Technology, Riga Technical University (RTU). Within the framework of cooperation, researchers carried out a study on the dynamics of heat and electricity demand in Latvia, the participation of households, public buildings and industrial companies in the energy market, simulation of building energy consumption using IDA ICE computer program, as well as three publications. The developed publication “Possibilities of balancing buildings energy demand for increasing energy efficiency” researches the factors influencing the energy-dependent processes of typical buildings. RTU employees invested their theoretical knowledge in the field of energy in research and publications, while the Lafivents team invested their practical knowledge gained in practice.
